YOUR DATA, EXPLAINED
Privacy policy
This policy describes the current Octoboard application and website. Octoboard is an open source project operated by BaiJunjie.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The application and local data
The current version of Octoboard runs on your device and stores the configuration and session data it manages locally. Octoboard does not upload your code, conversations, or usage data to servers operated by its developer.
Agents and tools from other providers
Octoboard starts the coding agents you configure from other providers. These agents and their tools may send prompts, code, context, and other data to their service providers according to your configuration and actions. Their providers' privacy policies and terms apply to that processing. Repository operations may also connect to the Git remotes you configure, including when checking remote status.
Information shared during collaboration
To coordinate work, task descriptions, reports, and relevant context pass between participating sessions. When this information enters another agent's session, it may be processed by that agent's configured provider. Working with agents from different providers may therefore involve sharing task information with multiple providers.
